The team of installers was courteous, respectful, accommodating and responsive to our requests or concerns. Any request we made was fulfilled. Very professional, knowledgeable, fast and efficient. Job completed ahead of anticipated date- within 3 days versus 4 days. They were problem solvers regarding wiring thermostats and other issues. Excellent team! Excellent job! Thank you!

We originally received bids from five different companies and Lavine & Co. came in as one of the lower bids while offering more than the other guys (i.e. removal of our old floor furnace, repairing plaster, etc. Everyone we came in contact with from your company was knowledgeable, professional and straightforward, as well as being pleasant to work with. Our installer Ramsey was an exceptionally good-natured person and did an outstanding job in installing our heating system. He was very thorough in his explanation of how to operate our system and finished the job ahead of schedule. We were originally told it would take 3 to 4 days and Ramsey and his crew (Rob and John) completed our job in 2-1/2 days and also did a fantastic job of putting on all the finishing touches.
Everything about your company exceeded our expectations: a lower price, knowledgeable, through installers and quick installation time.
If you ever need anything from us in the way of a reference or recommendation you undoubtedly have it. We sincerely appreciate the great job.

This is just a short note to let all of you know what a pleasure it has been to have had your company install our heating. (I just hope that Financial Freedom hurries your payment to you.) The two men you sent are to be commended on their professionalism, but most of all on the way in which they interacted with each other and our family. Sean and Mike always seemed to treat each other with respect and used "family appropriate" language. Even our very shy elder granddaughter felt comfortable with them in the house. In this day and age, that alone says a lot about your company.
We may need to ask for someone to help us with the nitty-gritty of using the heating system. We seem to be doing fine, but do have some questions that we haven't solved yet.

I just wanted to write to thank you and Ramsey for such great work on the heating job at my house on Wisconsin St. We obtained several bids, but after my husband met you, he was already determined for us to work with your company. He felt that you were an honest, "straight shooter". Other companies proposed elaborate and expensive "solutions" to heating the addition to the house, but the plan you came up with was cost effective and works great. I'm especially grateful for the fact that you were able to squeeze us in earlier, and our days of freezing to death are now over!
I was very impressed with Ramsey's work. He performed a lot of work in a very short amount of time, was very professional, courteous and helpful. It is clear that he takes pride in doing good work, and is a valuable asset to your company. I will definitely put the word out about you guys and the great, affordable work you do!

Lavine & Co. installed two new furnaces in my house. One replacement and one new installation on the 12, 13th, and 14th July. My first phone call to Lavine & Co. went well. The follow-up meeting and design with Mark went well. As did my follow-up questions before the installation. Mark T. and Mark A. did most of the work. They did a really good job. Very Professional!
I wanted to sheer wall the addition from the interior and build a closet for the new furnace before installation. This was done with their input while Mark T. and Mark A. replaced the old unit under the house. It was great to work with them. I am very pleased with the whole experience. It is nice to work with professionals. They cared about what they were doing.

We'd like to thank your company for saving us from the most unpleasant and unsatisfactory forced air heating experience of our lives. As I told Dennis Day, when he came out in response to our call, we had bought a new forced air heater only four months before. We bought it from a locally owned heating and plumbing company, in the area for years, so we assumed they would do a good job.
Their job broke down on two levels. We requested a heater that would heat, that would be quiet, and that wouldn't be drafty. The owner, who came out to bid the job, gave us misleading information, and his company put in a heater that was loud, drafty, and heated in a spotty fashion.
Over the next four months I called to tell him he had misrepresented the heater. The bottom line of multiple conversations was, too bad, it's not my fault you made a mistake. It cost my company money to install it. Throw it away. Buy another one from me and I'll give you something off because you bought the other one from me.
We had a sense that communication was bad with this fellow and it wasn't going to get better. A costly lesson learned. We moved on. Enter Dennis Daly, the rep, and then Mark Toothman, the technician, who both showed us how the original job broke down on the second level.
That installation the original fellow mentioned? It included: (1) a space left between the filter box and the heating unit which made the filters useless in that it was pulling in dirty air from outside (2) the part that directs the hot air into the ducts to the various rooms was only half centered on the heater, so some ducts were getting minimal hot air, one none at all. (3) the large old metal intake tunnel was hot replaced by a quieter smaller one. (4) the new thermostat was only partially wired in.
When Dennis Daly came out, very soon after my phone call, he was clear and exact. He asked me what my concerns were and what I wanted to accomplish. He explained options, pointed out examples in brochures to clarify, told me what each of the models would and would not do. We even looked at the 'old' heater and he explained each step of the heating process so I understood.
Mark Toothman and his assistant came out and did a beautiful installation job. All the work was perfect, lined up, edges sealed. He even bracketed an electric on and off switch that wasn't part of the heater because, as he said, it seemed safer that way. Believe me, we now know the difference between a beautiful installation job and a not so beautiful one. Our new heater is quiet, warm and efficient.
Levine & Co., both owners, and employees, all obviously have pride in their work. There's and ethical foundation there and it shows in their attention to detail and care with which they handle their product. Some companies are willing to take advantage of a client's ignorance, and some are not. We wish all heating companies were like yours. If anyone interested in buying a product from your company would like to talk to either of us, we're here. Warning, you might not be able to shut us up.

Dear Mr. Lavine:
Last month we had a new heater and air conditioner system installed by your company. Our existing heater was not very old, but it had been a noisy, dirty, inefficient pain-in-the-neck since we purchased and had it installed by another company in Contra Costa.
We had obtained three estimates for the new installation. One company said it was not possible for us to re-locate out heater; yet, their estimate was considerably higher than Lavine's estimate which included the relocation. Another company's estimate was also higher than yours was but with a heater & air conditioner of just average quality.
I want to express my appreciation for a job well done: Karl patiently worked with us to lay out an installation plan, which was best for our needs. Jerry Lugo should be commended for his persistence and professionalism in handling the "interesting: problems, which arose during the relocation and installation. The crew functioned as a team and supported one another. Dave supervised the whole project very effectively.
We are pleased with the overall installation, and would gladly refer your company and crew to anyone considering a new air conditioner or furnace.

We just had a new furnace and air conditioner installed in our home. I felt compelled to send a letter of appreciation regarding this installation. All of the staff from Lavine and Company was very professional and extremely competent. From the pre-sales activities through to the final install, everything went extremely well. The primary installations engineer Jerry who was on site and responsible for coordinating, performing the installation the entire time did a great job. Special thanks to Jerry for doing such exceptional work. Additionally, on site follow by the service manager Dave was reassuring as well. I just wanted to say that Jerry, Dave and the others were very customer service oriented people.
Being that I run a customer service support team, I am extremely critical of the service I receive as a consumer. My wife was the primary contact with all of the crew on site, when she asked questions they treated her courteously and made her feel comfortable. When coming through the house they took all the care and precautions necessary. Additionally, I was greatly impressed with the attention to detail and how thoroughly he cleaned up during and after the install. In general this purchase was a very pleasant experience from the pre-sales contact with Earl, all the way through to job completion. GREAT TEAM WORK.

Up in the Oakland hills, we had a scorcher of a day this past weekend. But our house was nice and cool, thanks to the central air conditioning that Lavine & Co. installed at the end of June. I wanted to thank you and Dave for your help putting together a system that’s truly customized for our house and situation. I also wanted to let you know what a great job Mark, Paul, and Cody did putting it in. It was a complicated installation, but they were fast, friendly, professional, and-- something we were not necessarily expecting-- tidy!
The new A/C is quiet and powerful, and we will be enjoying it for many East Bay summers and autumns in the years to come. Thanks again for a job well done.
